Sonia Anne Scaramella, Co-founder
  

Born June 11th 1991

So beautiful, so healthy and so very special.  Sonia was a quiet, laid back and easy going girl who cared about her family and friends very deeply.  She was loved and admired by everyone.  Sonia was also very talented.  She played piano and guitar, she enjoyed basketball and softball, but her real love was doing crafts and drawing.  She was an aspiring artist whose dream was to become and architect.  In October 2002, Sonia was diagnosed with lymphoma and her world changed.  For the next 18 months, she underwent extensive chemotherapy and countless procedures, only to have her illness return.  After an experimental treatment which failed, and intense radiation, Sonia was next preparing for a stem cell transplant.  With her hopes always high and never even imagining death, Sonia entered the hospital for what would be her last day. 

Sonia passed away on April 6th, 2004 .
